The amount of remunerations for an individual book is determined based on the number of times it has been lent and the image factor per library category.
The public lending remunerations are based on the Copyright Act, according to which the author is entitled to compensation for the lending of their works. The remunerations paid to the authors by the Ministry of Education and Culture are distributed for the lending at public libraries maintained by municipalities and university libraries.
