The Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences Arene, Universities Finland UNIFI and Kopiosto have agreed upon the remuneration per student. The remuneration is based on collaborative surveys on the amount and content of copying and the price per page. The remuneration for the licence is distributed to the authors and publishers of the works by us.
The remuneration per student agreed upon with UNIFI and Arene does not apply to chargeable copying or continuing education provided by separate companies. For such education and copying purposes, the institution of higher education or continuing education provider must separately obtain our copying licence or a separate copying licence for chargeable copying.

The agreement between the Rectors’ Conference of Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences Arene, Universities Finland UNIFI and Kopiosto applies to specialisation studies and continuing education arranged by higher education institutions themselves. Independent companies and other education providers providing continuing education can obtain our copying licence directly from us.

If students are charged a fee or other compensation for copies, the institution must obtain a separate licence. No copying fee or other compensation may be charged for copies distributed under our copying licence. the total amount of chargeable copying in the last year reported by the licensee to Kopiosto

The copyright remuneration per page for chargeable copying in 2024 is 8.48 cents + VAT.
The minimum licence is €90 + VAT.
