Copying activities in different industries
Taloustutkimus Oy conducted a study on copying in 2016, which measured the amount and content of copying performed by Finnish employees in different industries. The study included 5,576 Finnish employees.
According to the study, copyrighted material is copied from printed and digital publications (such as newspapers and magazines, books and sheet music publications) and from the Internet. Copies are produced in digital and paper forms. Digital copies are shared within organisations to colleagues and the members of the organisation’s staff by email and in Intranet.
According to the study, employees in different industries copy and share copyrighted material approximately as indicated by the graph below. The figures indicate the annual amount of copied and shared material in pages per employee.
